Freestanding Gas Cooker Installations

A freestanding cooker will need be installed using a flexible cooker hose connected to a bayonet wall fitting. This is because it is a legal requirement to secure the cooker to the wall. Therefore this is normally done using a cooker chain. Cooker chains are kept on the van and can be supplied for an additional £3. 

Most cookers do not come with a hose, so either purchase one yourself or purchase directly from us for an additional £20.

Hobs

A new hob to be installed where there is an existing hob must be installed using rigid pipework, due to new safety regulations. For this, we will charge from £50 for a straight swap.

If any alternations in the work top are required to fit the new hobs dimensions, then a more accurate price will be provided, once we have seen the job. This will be a free no-obligation quote.

We will perform these checks:

• Tightness test
• Flue gas analysis
• Gas rate
• Check manufacturers clearances around the cooker
• We will test the door seals
• Check the flame pictures
• Test the safety devices
• We will make sure the cooker is level
• Ventilation requirements will also be checked

Should pipework need to be installed / altered this will be at an additional cost.
