Boiler Types
There are 3 main types of boiler that our engineers will usually work on and these include:
Regular boilers
1. This boiler type requires various parts including a boiler, heating controls, a hot water cylinder, a cold water storage cistern and an expansion system. You will need space in your loft in order to store two tanks. If you have an older property and do not wish to disturb the existing pipework with the lifting up of flooring, then a regular boiler can easily replace what you may already have installed in your home.
Combi boilers
2. This is a type of condensing boiler. This type of boiler acts as both a water heater and a central heating unit. A combi boiler is ideal for smaller homes as it is very efficient and compact. You should also experience a nice amount of pressure with this boiler type from your taps and shower.
System boilers
3. This boiler type heats your central heating and also produces hot water for your cylinder. Similar to a regular boiler, the difference with a system boiler is that you have additional units within the boiler such as an expansion vessel and a pressure release valve. You will require a storage tank with this boiler type. This is also a great type of boiler if you want it to work with a solar thermal system.
